Same greetings from me in Dorset UK, no bobbin lace in progress at the moment, but am almost finished on my first actual piece of needle lace. There are a couple of part bits on various other patterns I tried (about a 1/4 of an inch by about an inch wide) and it is really good to see it turning from an ugly duckling to something more resembling the swan. Not literally, but where I was not impressed with the look so far and have considered cutting it off the pad I continued to try and am pleased I did. Looking forward to seeing if it is good enough to give as a gift, or not. After 11 years of concentrating only on bobbin lace with no other real interest in trying other laces I have gradually gained an interest in attempting to learn, tatting, romanian point lace and now needle lace. Now to attempt my biggest challenge so far, making up this large pattern from scratch. Hmmm, not sure how well I will achieve pulling this one off, but with my new specticles it might be possible (Oh and a lot of patience).
Best wishes to all for now and the New Year.

I know it's not quite Christmas but I would like to send my Best Wishes and Season's Greetings to all on 'Arachne'.

I don't have any lace on my pillows at present but 2015 I am hoping to try a 'new to me' technique by starting at the beginning of one of the books in my collection and working through, I just have to decide which one.....
Best Wishes again
