Thanks, Brenda. It appears from the below announcement and others on the Internet that Cotona 50 was "introduced" in September 2013. They seem to be taking the marketing approach that it is a new thread specifically designed for quilters. They really seem to be playing down the fact that it was a popular product inexplicably withdrawn from the market but now in production again. At least that is my take on it. The 120 colors seem to be available from many on-line sources. Interestingly, many of the colors that are available are ones that I don't have in my collection of over a hundred Tanne colors. For instance I had greens 711 and 713 in Tanne. Now I have obtained adjacent shades 710, 712 and 714 in Cotona. So, it would be interesting to know what drives the decision of what shades the company chooses to offer as their 120 shade line at various different times and how often they change it. Is it related to the Pantone color card?
