Dear Arachnes, font of all knowledge! Instead of going to IOLI or Knutson Hall, I'm starting the set of Ann Shadbolt's butterflies which were in Lace 121, 122, 123. I actually started the first one a couple of months ago and it has lain with one wing missing since June, poor thing.
The second group have some interesting Bucks fillings which she took from Geraldine Stott's Bucks Point Lace fillings (or Fillings for Bucks point lace) which I have never seen or heard of before. What is puzzling me is the spider ground in the middle of the three butterflies. It's nothing like the Torchon spider ground in the Book of Lace stitches, or in Pam Nottingham's Technique of Bucks Point. It appears to be worked on a ring of six pins like this if the spacing will work . . . . . . Does someone have the book and could please look it up for me? And email "destructions" or a scan of the diagram. Many many thanks, Louise - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
