That was a very popular song in the late 50's. The man who sang it was
J.P. Richardson ("The Big Bopper"). He was killed in a plane crash
(2/3/1959) that also killed two other popular singers, Buddy Holly and
Richie Valens. I still remember how much that shocked the world of
"Rock and Roll". I also remember dancing to it wearing a poodle skirt
with outrageous crinolines, bobby-socks and saddle shoes! What a blast
from the past.
