Hi Louise and everyone

First off, thank you Louise for letting us know of an update to this
fascinating lace resource.

I have a copy. This book of pictures of the pages of samples are *big*
pages, 12 inch spine and each page aboutt 17 inches widthwise, opened up
you need quite an available space to place the book. Although it is coil
bound, which does help with handling, I don't look at it often; the big
floppy pages are cumbersome. I made photocopies of pages I was interested in
for easier reference. So, yada yada - 'reformatted' I hope means it will be
easier to handle, and with a DVD, that eliminates the need to duplicate the
pattern book page precisely, which I think was the reason for the large
pages in the first place. I await with interest to see what it will be like!

I was in on the one and only Arachne raffle/fund-raiser (in the end of
doubtful legality it was decided, so no more), bought a ticket or two, and
even won one of the prizes, a set of Honiton grids donated by Itsa Bobbins,
the late Geoff Downs. This set surfaced just last night, and I had made up
my mind to raffle them again in our usual free draw - there will be another
message. How timely to read again of the Lace Dealer's Pattern Book and our
lace-list involvement.
