Allison's Lacemaker shop was also my first experience.  I actually drove to
Edmonds and visited the shop.  She recommended a book and I bought some
thread.That was part of what got me goind in about 1987.  I still have the
book although I haven't done a lot from it, reading how to design the
prickings was a great education. Enjoy your retirement, I am sure you can find
some new interests to fill you time.  And hopefully we will all be here on
