Dear Ruth I have never worked with this thread so this suggestion is just a shot in the dark. Instead of putting the hitch knot on the thread, can you put it on the head of the bobbin instead. Also would using large straws be of any help? To use these, cut your straw into the desired length, then cut the straw along the length of it so that you can slip the straw over the thread. I use this method to sometimes mark specific bobbins, particularly continental ones. I hope this makes sense.
