Hi, I went on IRC but I am in Europe and there was no one saying much. I did get the help to finish the install though. I just wanted to mention the problems I had as an experienced installer.
1) I was under the impression that all the required libes were incuded. In fact, I needed to grap them as some files were missing. That was helped by someone on IRC mercifully giving me that shove in the right direction. I never got the include path right in configure.php. Whatever I added it did not show in the php errors when files weren't found. I hacek common.php and hard coded the entire include path and that got things working, with db errors I saw once I changed debug to 5. One thing I had to look for quite a while was the need to rename a .ini file to laconica.ini . Once I got that, the entire install appears to work. I'm following laconica with great interest but as an installer/user and maybe tweaker/hacker, not a developer. Is there another list for that? Should I post what I think is pertinent (suggestins etc) here?
