Hi, folks. I've been thinking about the names "Identi.ca" and "Laconi.ca", and I'd like to merge them together.
I'm spending a lot of time trying to explain the difference, and when it
comes down to it, there is no difference. If you're running a Laconica
instance, you're running your own Identica. Period. Being overly precise
on this matter isn't helping anyone, and it seems to be just confusing
people.
So, here's what I'd like to do:
* Rename "Laconica" to "Identi.ca".
* Move lacon.ica/darcs/, /trac/, and /entrans/ to identi.ca.
I realize it's going to mean making some changes in some code (like
Net::Laconica) and UI (like on Twhirl), but I think it'll be a good
result overall.
Any opinions on the matter?
