I've been looking at this recently too. I modified dabr to work with identi.ca but its only half a solution. It uses the Twitter API and therefore doesn't support groups or registration. I also find dabr a little text heavy for small screen phones. I've recently started to play around with the laconi.ca source to modify it to support xhtml/mp and html output.
There has been some discussion on this in the past too: http://mail.laconi.ca/pipermail/laconica-dev/2009-June/001470.html Martin 2009/7/8 Brenda Wallace <[email protected]> > What mobile/wap/mini-web interfaces exist for laconi.ca? > I see there isn't a http://m.identi.ca/ yet. > > Any plans?
