Roland,

I was able to get samba working with ldap but have a few issues that
need to resolve but couldn't find and easy way to do that.

1) I have quite a few users in ldap but they don't have samba attributes
enabled. Is there a easy way to enable globally to all users? And can
these attributes be enable by default when a user is created?

2) Even though you enable samba attributes the "sambaNTPassword" does
not get set. The only way I found to set that attribute is to reset my
password. I don't want to ask all users to reset their password and was
wondering if there is a way to set the "sambaNTPassword" with the same
password as "userPassword:"?

3) Usually when adding new users I create them first in unix and then
use migrate_passwd.pl utility that comes with ldap to add the user to
ldap. Is there a way to auto enable samba attributes during that process?

Any help is much appreciated.

Romi
