Hi Steve,

Please try

Open a terminal (1), type:
# tail -f /var/adm/message | grep wpad

Open second terminal, type:
# dladm connect-wifi -e your_AP -k your_KEY

Open third terminal, type:
# echo "wpa_debug_level, 1/W 1" | mdb -p `pgrep wpad`

See the output of the terminal(1), and paste the output to me, then I 
will try to find out the root cause.
