I don't know why that bug is not visible in the OpenSolaris bug database. At any rate, you found the correct work around, which is to disable the webconsole service. The bug report that you can't read mentions that it takes several minutes for this disable to complete. The star means that the service is in the process of transitioning to a new state, but that the transition hasn't completed yet. tom
