Ok, I installed the crypto packages from Sun's web site, and that went 
smoothly. However, I am still unable to connect to the internet. The same lines 
are outputted by wpa_supplicant. Since this forum won't let me attach something 
when replying, here is the business part of wpahelp:

About the password length: As far as I know, this password works on my Ubuntu 
and Windows systems. I've had no problem with it on those systems. If that's
