I can't really help but I can say that I get the same error 2)
with an IBM (Lenovo) T43p. It doesn't seem to cause any
problem that I can detect but I'm not an expert so I may
be completely wrong. I first saw the error with snv_69
and I still have it after upgrading to snv_70.

Have you updated with the latest frkit to get the newest
bits for power management? With snv_70 and the latest
frkit, I get multiple power states shown as available. I
realize that I have a much older single core CPU and
that may have some bearing on the power management.

[t43p:/]# powernowadm
 State MHz Watts Volts
     0 2133 27.0 1.356
     1 1866 24.4 1.292
     2 1600 21.7 1.212
     3 1333 19.1 1.148
     4 1066 16.4 1.068
     5 800 13.8 0.988 (current)
