Yes, of course. And for getting PM working on multicore Intel CPUs it is
related CR 6593356 (I hope and will try asap on my T60). A bit hidden
for people outside of Sun, because our public bugster interface... :-(

I'm not sure, but TSC registers are P-state invariant even in the P4s.
Only AMD K8 is not. So it could be possible to write driver even for
older SpeedStep.
