Hi Liane,
That problem was due to  /etc/inet/ipnodes, which in theory is for IPV6 only, 
but I have/had configured IPV4 (192.168.x.x)on my laptop.

So couln't  understand  why it happened.Any way I removed this files(after 
backing up) and then soflinked to /etc/hosts which solved this proble.
