Hi All,
Wireless Solaris is one of the coolest things ever seen!! Thx for these
drivers.
And now the problem:
I've got a Dlink dwl-520 PCI Wireless card, bought because of the
support on
OpenSolaris for the Atheros chipset.

I've happily ran for about a month the card switching among the new
releases of Solaris
Express as they became available.
Till b_33 everything worked rock solid.
Then a big failure with the hardware of the Atheros host computer, i've
changed the
mainboard (from a Via Kt400 to a SiS741 one), and installed b_34.

The issue is this:
if /etc/hostname.ath0 is there, booting causes something i call a kernel
panic, it writes
something very fast on the screen, then syncs disks and reboot. I really
wasnt able to read
what's on the screen before the reset as it is too fast.

After many reboots like these, i booted in failsafe, mounted root fs and
tried to understand what's going on.
Among one of the changes i've removed /etc/hostname.ath0 and rebooted.

Everything has gone up ok this time. When in JDS, from the terminal i've
tried this:

ifconfig ath0 plumb
ifconfig ath0 inet 10.0.0.4 up
wificonfig -i ath0 connect hctech
wificonfig -i ath0 showstatus
route add default 10.0.0.150

Everything's ok , and i'm using without any problem my wireless conn
putting those commands in a script
that i launch when in JDS.

I just want to let devs know of this issue and, if possible get some
help to make everything work like before.

ah, forgotting important things: the issue happen either using
wificonfig 0.1 or wificonfig 0.2 and SUNWatheros binary packages 0.1 or 0.2

Sincerely
Alex
