I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work for you.  It only needs 512mb of memory 
as the minimum, I've successfully got it to run on machines with that amount of 
memory.  Maybe if you can tell us more about the problems you were having, we 
could be of assistance.  Try booting in text mode so that you can see if any 
error messages come up.
