The Ferrari 3400 runs on an Athlon64. I started getting this message
after I BFU'd on July 17. I had previously BFU'd on July 16, so
figuring out which putback caused the problem should be pretty
easy.

And lo and behold, on July 16th, we see a putback that says:

Comment:
PSARC/2004/826 Opteron Athlon64 Frequency Management
6358066 PSARC/2004/826 Opteron Athlon64 Frequency Management
6512756 Solaris should support Intel's Enhanced Speedstep
6335616 AMD64 CPU PwrMgmt needs Notify/_PPC for changes in P-states

I note that this is also the day that I stopped getting this
message:

NOTICE: Valid _PSS table found: \_PR_.CPU0._PSS
NOTICE: CPU frequency mechanism: AMD PowerNOW! for AMD64 CPUs

The #1 red flag for privacy advocates is when a law enforcement
official says "If you aren't doing anything wrong, then you have
nothing to worry about."
