Alan,
I'm not over keen to install SECE, as I'd rather wait for the next SEDE, I am
using the laptop for work and don't have a huge amount of time to play around
installing and new operating systems.

Since my audio was not working at all, and I was advised it was fixed in a
later build, I downloaded SECE build 77 and installed the audio drivers from b
77. That solved my audio problem without bothering for a complete reinstall of
Solaris.

Would I gain much from installing any video related packages from the
downloaded image?

What I really want to do is adjust the intensity of the videol. It is not near
maximum and I do tend to have to push it up to near max if I am on using the
laptop at a rail station, as I often do.

Dave
