It was created specifically for the Ferrari and allows for:
- multiple button support (the Ferrari generates buttons 1-7
- tapping support
- scroll areas (sending button 4/5 (veritcal) and 6/7 (horizontal)
support
IMHO, it works much better than under Windows where I have a hard time
getting the synaptics driver to scroll as well as mine does under
Solaris.
The algorithms can be ported directly to the kernel, I would think.
We would need a tool to create and manipulate the settings for the
device, though.
