[laptop-discuss] adhoc wifi with Nokia phone

Hi,
        
        interesting one. I just found the same behaviour yesterday when I tried
        to connect to a public WLAN on campus. So far I found out they run an el
        cheapo access point. It seems that box doesn't answer to the
        DHCPDISCOVER broadcast and Solaris seems to wait for an reply before
        attempting to get an IP via DHCP. Same hardware different OS works fine
        though. So far I'm not sure who to blame. Either Solaris for waiting for
        the never coming reply to the broadcast or the WLAN box for not
        replying.
