Hi Douglas,

Please try static IP firstly if you can't get an available IP via DHCP, 
just run:
#ifconfig ath0 ip up

Different with ordinary infrastructure mode, there always exist 
compatibility porblems in adhoc mode, so, i need some detailed
information, please return me the output by running:
#/usr/X11/bin/scanpvi -v
and tell me what kinds of wifi chip in your Nokia smartphone.
