I confirm that the problem still happens with boot net - install -v, and
that b42a (community edition of Sol. Express) exhibits the same
problem. Btw, boot net - install -v suppresses the -v output. I think
boot net -v install is the correct syntax here. In any case, it didn't
help me get any further.)
FWIW, I know its almost certainly not hardware. This system boots up
NetBSD of the internal disk just fine. (I was trying to install Solaris
Express over NetBSD, fwiw.)

Do you boot net - install? Although, based on the dmesg output, it
isn't clear to me whether the problem is in the network install or not.
I'm going to try kadb booting and see where the stack trace leads me. :-)
