It's a wide screen.  I don't know that agpgart will help; the problem 
seems to be that the vbios of the i915 chipset does not claim to be 
capable of the mode in question.

The panel is detected correctly, but even with the modeline set 
explicitly, it still says it doesn't have such a mode.

The 855resolution program available from a web search patches the vbios, 
but I don't know if I feel like porting it.  It's implemented as a 
command, but it looks like something that belongs in the driver attach 
routine for the chipset.
