I've tested the Intel and Atheros cards in my laptop and I'm nearly at my patience end after years of having wireless problems. 1) every snv version from 99 to 122 I experience link association problems 2) every version I've had dhcp client problems 3) Sometimes dladm shows the devices as down when I don't think it should be.... how do I force it back up? dladm set-linkprop -p state=up ath1 dladm: warning: cannot set link property 'state' on 'ath1': read-only property After the link disassociates many times I'll have to svcadm restart nwam.. or sometimes pkill dhcpagent helps (even though it's not hung).. I've also tried with a manual config with no success.. Once I know how to enable more debugging I'll either file a bug or attempt to fix it.. How many other people out there use wireless and have this sort of problem? As an aside my new laptop has Intel chipset, but dladm shows the device as always down.. Thanks! ./C
