I know there is the [data URI scheme](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
Data:_URI_scheme). Supported by all but our favorite browser,
apparently.
I also found [this article](http://www.elf.org/essay/inline-
image.html), which implies you should be able to just create an image
object in Javascript. Perhaps that's what LzSprite should be doing.
