Good question: turns out it uses that internally but does not expose it
after all. That's what I get for trying to compare three Collection
implementations at the same time I suppose...
Anyway. Yes, that means it's more feasible than I thought to slot the
generic Collection as a base class underneath the BranchCollection API.
