The Swedish file has no defined plural forms. "Plural-Forms: nplurals=INTEGER; plural=EXPRESSION;\n" should be "Plural-Forms: nplurals=2; plural=(n != 1);\n" $ msgfmt -c --statistics sv/messages.po msgfmt: (null): warning: PO file header fuzzy warning: older versions of msgfmt will give an error on this messages.po:8: invalid nplurals value messages.po:8: some header fields still have the initial default value messages.po:712: 'msgstr' is not a valid C format string, unlike 'msgid'. Reason: The string ends in the middle of a directive. msgfmt: found 3 fatal errors 365 translated messages, 18 fuzzy translations, 6 untranslated messages. There is also an error on line 712 #: xmlcopyeditor.cpp:2514^M #, c-format^M msgid "Document%i"^M msgstr "Dokument%1"^M Should of course be %i > Even though I had hand-edited the .po files and had used poEdit to > update them against the template, I chose the second option on upload, > not the "user-edited" but the official translation choice, since I had > not in fact edited any messages/translations. Was that the correct choice? Never ever use a PO editor to update translation templates. The editor will make changes to the header (such as Last-Translator) Instead, use msgmerge for the gettext tools. -- Daniel Nylander (CISSP, GCUX, GCFA) Stockholm, Sweden http://www.DanielNylander.se [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- launchpad-users mailing list launchpad-users@lists.canonical.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/launchpad-users
