I didn't really understand what should go as "distroname" vs.
"distroseriesname". I tried running
dput ppa:username/ppaname/karmic <changes-file>
and then launchpad complained about using
~username/ppaname/karmic/ubuntu
so I tried
dput ppa:username/ppaname/ubuntu/karmic <changes-file>
and then launchpad complained about using
~username/ppaname/ubuntu/karmic/ubuntu
which is really wrong.
Eventually I just edited the changelog as both you and Max Bowshare
suggested and launchpad accepted it.
