I don't think an ISA to PCI adapt is possible. The busses are not compatable with each other. The adapter would have to do so much for the conversion, it would probably cost as much as an NI-PCI analog out card anyway.
Have a look at the NI PCI-6713. 12-Bit, 1 MS/s per Channel (8 Chn) Analog Output Board with 8 DIO and 2 24 bit counters. there's also the PCI-6711, basically the same thing except it only has has 4 channels. All of NIs analog output boards are listed here: <http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nioc.vp?cid=10118&lang=US> There should be very little, if any software changes needed, assuming you have a somewhat recent version of LabVIEW and NI-DAQ. You could go with a different vendor for the card, but then you'll have much more to do on the software end. This board was computer with ISA slots. We have a new computer with PCI slot. Is there any way we can connect this board to PCI slot (using any other hardware like adapter etc.,) without changing the software much. What we are looking for is a low-cost replacement solution. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kalyan Graduate Research Assistant Mechanical Engineering Virginia Tech - 24060 Ph: 540-231-1271(O)
