Kalyan, An exponential window is defined as
W(n)= (n/(N-1))*ln(f), for n= 0,1....N-1 Here f is the final value. This can be anything between 0 and 1. So the starting value will be 1 and the end value of the exponent will be the final value that you have set. Regards Kalidas -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Kalyanramu Vemishetty Subject: Exponential Window Hi all, I am trying to apply exponential window on my data. LabView has a VI for this but I don't understand what the parameter "Final Value" mean. I know the decay rate I need for my windowing function but how can relate this to final value. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Kalyan Graduate Research Assistant Mechanical Engineering Virginia Tech - 24060 Ph: 540-231-1271(O)
