This is in response to the postings from late last week regarding
installation media problems and a letter instructing customers to destroy
the first kit received and install from the replacement kit.

There are no known technical issues with the LabVIEW 7.1 or Driver CD
installation media. Due to a clerical mistake by a distributor, some
customers may have received an incorrect distribution of the product, but
this is in no way related to a technical issue with the product or media.
In order to rectify the situation, all recipients of the mis-shipped kits
were sent new kits once the issue was uncovered. All affected customers
will receive their correct kit with a letter asking to destroy any
incorrect kits received in order to keep records accurate. Those affected
should all have received new kits at this point. If you were affected,
please destroy the first kit, and install from the kit containing the
letter. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

As for issues with Driver CD installation, we are not aware of any
wide-spread problems with this. The problem that was seen with the Driver
CD not asking for the next disc may be specific to the particular
computer, or perhaps an isolated incident of a bad disc that was received.
If the issue persists in multiple computers you may want to contact your
sales representative for replacement media, or contact NI support for
additional assistance.
