Hi, I recently upgraded? to LV 7 from LV6 . I have been using it OK for a couple of months. I have just tried to load up some of my LV6 projects to do some analysis on some data. I am greeted with a dialog box stating "bad edge will not be added to wire". So what I think, i didnt have any bad edges..... then it says "Insane Object" in another dialog box. Hmm this isnt looking good. The vi's dont work and now I have to spend time fixing and debugging vi's that worked perfectly before, but have now decided to fall over declaring themselves to be a sandwich short of a picnic.
Not my idea of an easy Friday.
First rule: Never implement major changes on Fridays. It usually means working over the weekend... :-)
I've seen this problem before. It was very pervasive in LV6. I tend to lean on this being a bug in LV6 rather than in LV7. During your upgrade, all your LV6 VI's had to be mass compiled and it's possible that this triggered the bug. In my experience i noticed it when I had strict-type definition ctrls on the diagram. Unfortunately I have no solution but I believe you can fix the problem by deleting the entire wire and rewiring it.
