I'm getting started with using LabVIEW to control an instrument using its .net API. I have LV 6.1, so I'm doing this through ActiveX/COM. Does anyone know of or have any code examples of this, or any pointers? The specific instrument I'm using is a Spirent SR5500.
I don't have example code for that instrument. I have a curious question though. AFAIK LV6.1 did not support .net. This is a feature introduced in LV7. Do you mean ActiveX? If so, then there are several examples of using ActiveX methods and properties within your LV development environment. Click on help>>Find examples. NI's website is also a great resource for ActiveX example code. Keywords: ActiveX, LabVIEW.
