Every distribution I know can be installed without development packages, so
there is no distribution without problems. This is the same for every other
development software, that is not in the standard packages of the
distribution.
There are some distributions like SuSE, that have named some packages
shlightly different, so the rpms will not work without the force option.
But after you installed the development packages of your distribution the
tgz should work on all.

Maybe someone can help us, to get lazarus into the standard packages of some
distributions.
