I experienced this same problem while cloning ldom vdisk files that used rpools.
Instead of booting from network or cd a co-worker pointed out that I might be able to boot failsafe in order to do the import/export. It worked great and saved a decent amount of time. for some reason booting from net takes my ldoms a bit longer to boot these days (since U6). ok boot -F failsafe Then you can do the: # zpool import -f rpool # zpool export rpool Im not sure if there is a situation where failsafe would not be available, in which case you would have to boot net or cdrom Thanks for the solution -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
