Hi guys !
I need help about LDOM networking.
Here is my configuration :
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUN T5240
Solaris 10 5/08 s10s_u5wos_10 SPARC
SunOS S64LMWBIC8M 5.10 Generic_137111-06 sun4v sparc SUNW,T5240
showhost
Sun System Firmware 7.1.3.e 2008/07/29 13:41
Host flash versions:
Hypervisor 1.6.4.b 2008/07/11 08:06
OBP 4.28.10 2008/07/12 12:38
POST 4.28.10 2008/07/12 13:03
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have created a vswitch (in my control domain) binded to a physical network
interface with the same mac address than nxge0 to dialog on my network (like in
the admin guide...) :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# ldm add-vsw mac-addr=0:14:4f:46:94:52 net-dev=nxge0 primary-vsw0 primary
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then I have restarted and unplumbed nxge0, plumbed vsw0 and configured vsw0
with the same IP address than nge0
But when I list the services, I got a strange empty MODE flag :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VSW
NAME MAC NET-DEV DEVICE MODE
primary-vsw0 00:14:4f:46:94:52 nxge0 switch at 0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know why... I don't know If I can set a mode and how I can do it...
I follow the installation and set network to my first LDOM (JPRO) :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# ldm add-vnet JPROD-vnet0 primary-vsw0 JPROD
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And then :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NETWORK
NAME SERVICE DEVICE MAC
JPROD-vnet0 primary-vsw0 at primary network at 0
00:14:4f:f9:35:88
PEER MAC
primary-vsw0 at primary 00:14:4f:46:94:52
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunatly, when I try to boot my LDOM I have this (horrible) message :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{0} ok boot net -vs
Boot device: /virtual-devices at 100/channel-devices at 200/network at 0 File
and args: -vs
Requesting Internet Address for 0:14:4f:f9:35:88

Size: 0x9c860+0x33f51+0x5f223 Bytes
ERROR: Last Trap: Memory Address not Aligned
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there a relationship between this error and my empty MODE flag ???
Last information, when I list my LDOM, JPROD (my fist LDOM) is still in
transition mode (-t flag), Why ???
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# ldm list
NAME STATE FLAGS CONS VCPU MEMORY UTIL UPTIME
primary active -n-cv SP 24 2G 0.1% 1d 26m
JPROD active -t--- 5000 24 2G 4.2% 20h 2m
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for helping me !
Best regards.
Cordialement,
