Hi Bo,

The best thing to do is backup the /var/opt/SUNWldm directory. That has a copy
of the configuration. Another thing worth doing is to dump the configuration of
each LDom into xml format:

ldm ls-constraints -x <ldom name> > <ldom name>.xml

You can use the xml files for things like migrations, replication, and recovery.

You can also import the xml files. The only domain you can't import is the
primary domain. That would require some manual effort.

ldm add-domain -i <xml file>

Another good thing is to capture the full bindings:

ldm list-bindings > bindings.conf

It's probably a good idea to create a cron job to archive these files and xml
configs on a regular/daily basis and have them backed up to tape.

Subject: [ldoms-discuss] Where is the ldom configuration stored?

Where is the configuration created by the ldm command stored? I'd like to
create a backup copy in case of hardware failure. Is it a file somewhere,
or... ?
