I changed my jumpstart profile for the guest domain to install the OS with root starting on cylinder 0 and then jumpstarted the guest. After the install I stopped and unbound the domain. Then from the control domain I created a lofi device from the file and mounted it and everything worked beautifully.
Having the ability to do that is just awesome. I could automate provisioning an LDom easily with a script by copying or cloning the file then mounting it loopback so I could programatically modify the IP address and node name etc and then create the domain with the modified file as it's vdisk, then start it and boot it.
