Please explain on what you mean by packets get lost in vsw and how it is related to vlans. Vswitch queues packets on a per vnet basis but upto a certain limit. If the packets arrive at a higher speed than a vnet can pickup the packets and the queue limit is reached, then the packets will eventually be dropped. It certainly depends on how fast the packets are being pumped to a specific vnet. I am not sure if this is what you are referring to, if so, it has no relation to vlans. -Raghuram
