The only feature immediately unlocked with S10 10/09 (aka S10U8) is
crypto DR (dynamic reconfiguration). This means you can add & remove
crypto units while the domain is running. It _also_ means you're no
longer prevented from performing cpu DR if the domain has any crypto
units bound to it. Among other things, this greatly simplifies
reconfiguring a system from the factory-default single domain to a
minimized control domain (as is required prior to creating guest
domains).

Other features (e.g. link-based IPMP) are included in the latest S10
update release, but require a new version of LDoms Manager to access.
These will be available with LDoms 1.3, coming early in 2010.

That's the good news. Here's the bad news. The latest Solaris update
tickles a few bugs in LDoms in the areas of power management & domain
migration. We're feverishly working on a patch for LDoms 1.2 that'll
address these issues. Currently it is scheduled to be available in a
couple weeks (assuming testing & verification go well). In the
meantime it's recommended to not update your control domain to S10U8
if you want to use domain migration. Also, we recommend you not
update any of your domains if you're enabling the "elastic" power
management policy.
