It seems as though if the disk is presented to the target box, you
could do an upgrade to the same release (or newer) of Solaris 10.  My
guess is that it will whack a few old packages and install new ones.
Assuming you are feeling like S10 5/08 is a bit behind the times in
terms of patches and/or features, you could get to S10 10/09 all in
one step.

Backups first, of course.
