Mike,

It might be that if I had tried it, upgrading would work but I have very little 
experience with Solaris and Gold support contracts - so I asked first.  I may 
have worded the question incorrectly or made some other faux pas, but I did 
post to Sun Forums and then here - received no replies either place.

I do have other LDoms and another V490.  I may try it sometime in the future.
