Liam,

I didn't realize that was necessary from the admin guide.  So now I did:

        stop-domain
        unbind-domain
        bind-domain
        start-domain

And retried booting the domain from CD-ROM.  Same symptoms as before.

I see:

        [ID 877446 kern.info] vd_setup_vd():  /dev/dsk/c2tod0s2 is currently 
inaccessible (error 2)

messages a couple of times.  To be clear, here, based on the admin guide
and Stefan's message I'm working under the assumption that rmvolmgr
needs to be disabled.  I'd inserted the CD, used 'rmmount -l' to get the
CD drive path, issued 'svcadm disable rmvolmgr', then exported the CD
and assigned it to the guest domain.

Do you see any problem with the steps I took or the order I took them
in?  FYI, if you have a moment, you can log into the machine and take
a look.
