While I agree it has to do with clerking, I was looking for an open
source solution, that is why I brought it up here, but I will check
with them as well. Thanks :)
He might have success with GNUCash - that can be pretty flexible. Your other option is always OpenOffice, which would work on Windows, and he'd be pretty familiar with since it works just like Excel.
