   Here is my $.02
   - Navigation options should either be stacked horizontally or
vertically. If vertical, then the column (width) should only span to the
average width of the selections. And they should be out of the way, to
the side; so it does not interfere with the main content.
   - Home page should be the "summary" of the site, allowing viewers to
get the most out of the site. It should have valuable contents, enough
for the viewers to determine where to go next. Viewers should not need
to play "trial-and-error" game, going down couple levels deep, just the
find out that's not where they want to be.
   - There are two navigation types: content & action. Navigate by
contents is that the viewer wants certain contents and able to do so.
Navigate by actions is that the viewer wants certain services from the
site, and able to do so. Good sites provide both.
