Following our well known 'release early, release often' cycle, we are proud to present Bering-uClibc 2.2.
This new release had the usual testing period, that included a few betas and one release candidate. Changes from 2.2-rc1: - Busybox rc3 - weblet package was split into two: weblet.lrp (the webpages and CGI scripts) sh-httpd.lrp (the 'webserver') The reason for splitting up 'content' from 'webserver' is to enable use of a different, more powerful webserver like mhttpd, and to ease support of content changes and any enhancements. Important changes from 2.1: - Update kernel to 2.4.26 - linuxrc reworked and a more flexible leaf.cfg was added (in addition to syslinux.cfg) plus a new module loading scheme (Thx to Charles Steinkuehler) - added dnsmasq to the base image, this replaced dnscache and dhcpd - update of ash to dash 0.5.1 - redesign of pcmcia support to easy support and enhance support for more cards.
