So you are not really part of the "target audience" for the disk images... :-)
Actually the "images" for syslinux are just .tar.gz files so they might
still be a way for you to assemble the files you need.

The "new" package repository is at

but configdb.ser is currently not there. It is only in the CVS at
http://leaf.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/leaf/src/bering-uclibc4/buildtool/tools/image/common/configdb.ser?view=log
